Here we go. Almost a year after the birth of my son, I am profoundly a different person. I am still myself, but a much different version. And although this website and page should be solely for my business and selling textiles, I find that my business also encompasses who I am since I am the lone ship behind it!
That is something I am truly proud of. Loads of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and gratitude have led me to running my own textile company for almost three years. In the midst of this drive, my beautiful perfect angel baby son was born. I was one collection in and had just released my second collection right before his birth. Was this the smartest decision? Truthfully, probably not lol! But, I did not want to only have one collection released and stall for more months before releasing it.
In hindsight, I’m happy that I did a “soft launch” and am now slowly getting back into my work. I am constantly juggling what balance to strike, and I am truly grateful to the Lord that I have the ability to be juggling in between both motherhood and business owner; many days I question what the hell I'm doing; many days I feel like I'm not a good enough mother or business owner, or friend or wife, but I'm reframing things to understand what a privilege it is to be able to do this dance back and forth between more than one thing.
